Prospect Lake Auto Care saved our road trip! They got our van in the next day, quickly diagnosed and fixed multiple mechanical issues the same day. They even provided us with a loaner vehicle so we weren’t stranded with our dog. The staff were friendly, communicative, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Prospect Lake Service is a great local shop with good people behind it.

Mike runs a solid, honest business, and the place has the kind of local-shop feel that’s getting harder to find. I recently had the chance to capture the shop from above through Vancouver Island Drones, and it was a good reminder of how unique that little Prospect Lake corner really is.

In my opinion, one of the best technicians in the city works there — someone I’ve known since childhood and would trust without hesitation.

I was in Victoria from Campbell River while my dog was going through cancer treatment, and of course my check engine light decided to come on. I called the closest shop I could find, and I'm so glad I did.

I had been having issues driving my car on the highway. Every time it went above 70 km/h, it would start making a grinding noise. I brought it into the shop, and after a quick inspection, they found the problem and explained it to me in a way that made me feel confident my car was in good hands. After a quick repair, I was happily on my way. As long as I live in the city, I'll be coming back here for all my car repair needs.

Dropped off vehicle viantow truck Saturday, was ready for me Tuesday morning. Very fast and professional service. Very impressed.

Dropped off another vehicle for AC diagnostic. They had the cause pinpointed and repaired promptly. I was driving the vehicle home a few hours after dropping it off.

A few days later, I went to install a new license plate bolt that I had been procrastinating about and found they had obviously noticed it as well and just replaced it themselves.

Newly moved to Victoria I pulled into Prospects station an hour before closing to check the pressure of my tires. One of their service personnel very kindly offered to do it for me. One tire was very low at 12 psi. Fifteen minutes later a leak (from the pin of the tire value) was fixed. I now know who my service station will be!!!

This is the kind of place where your engine light has just come on. It's 5:00 pm on New Year's Eve. You pull up to the front door with a lot of worry. Everyone has obviously gone home, except Colin. But he's on his way out, too. Yet, instead of saying come back later he says, "Pull it into the bay. We better take a look." He diagnoses the problem in 30 minutes, gives some tips on how to manage it (a broken fan) until a proper fix can be done later.
He relieves a lot of worry.

I can say confidently that these guys love what they do and it shows..

Prospect Lake Auto sure beats going to a dealership where the "sales associates" don't know the difference between a rocker and a lifter but they will try to up-sell you an "engine flush" any chance they can get.

What amazing service! Gary was fabulous! He managed to fit us in for a vehicle inspection with little notice. The vehicle inspection results were emailed to us so that we now have an electronic record for our files. The inspection report was extremely thorough. Ten out of ten guys! On one final note, the other guy in the office also told us that we should do an online search to see if there are any liens, accidents, etc. reported on the car. Of course, we folled his advice, but how decent of him.

Lost my brakes on my Ford F-350 coming down from Heartland and Prospect Lake took care of me and my daughter right away. Great service as they also did a follow-up inspection and fix on the pads months later!

Had a great experience at Prospect Lake Auto Care getting my front brake pads and rotators replaced! Mike was wonderful to work with and the service was reasonably priced. No hidden fee's and a transparent quote provided over the phone prior to receiving service. Mike even followed up via text the next day to ensure I was satisfied with the work completed. I ended up taking my 2019 Porsche Macan to Prospect Lake Autocare after I received a ridiculously high quote to service my car from the dealer. Shannon was extremely efficient, booked me in for the following week and provided a courtesy car for the day. The service fee was reasonable and they also included a detailed inspection report. I paid a fraction of what the dealer quoted! Really happy with the experience and I’ll be returning for future service!

I pulled into this shop unexpectedly with no appointment on a random day with a very low back tire. I chatted with the receptionist who was the most friendly kind lady ever and got the guys in the shop to take a look almost immediately. They identified the issue as my valve stems and offered to replace them right on the spot for no cost

I couldn’t be more thankful for this shop as I was battling with kal tire for a long time who ultimately led me to this problem 😅 this company had my back and got them fixed in not even a bit over 30 mins. Best Auto Care please on Vancouver island I would’ve re-commended…BUT please BE Advised.they Qouted my 61 year old mom 2400. And that would have been fine but look please help.

I was recently referred to Prospect Lake Auto for diagnosis/repairs on my Jeep. I was told that “Mike” @ Prospect was the S. Island all-things-Jeep guy and I was not disappointed! Within seconds of looking under the hood he found the problem. He knew exactly where to look and explained to me in detail what was going on. I booked in to have the repairs done and my experience with Mike as well as Shannon (who takes care of all logistics… I’m thinking she basically runs the place lol) was exceptional. Highly skilled, organized, friendly and knowledgeable folks at Prospect Lake Auto. I highly recommend this place!
